Remindeeu is an online platform to find accountability partners, virtual coworking session mates and stake based goal tracking, all in one account.
Do I need an account to start?
No. Set up your goal first, then create an account at the end to save and publish it. We confirm your email with a 6 digit code.
Who is Mr. Remindeeu?
Mr. Remindeeu is the Remindeeu bot. He sends your reminders, books your sessions and collects stake penalties after a third default.
Is Remindeeu an alternative to Focusmate and Beeminder?
Yes. It covers virtual coworking like Focusmate, money on the line goals like Beeminder, and adds paid human accountability partners in the same dashboard.
Accountability basics
What does an accountability partner do?
An accountability partner checks in at agreed times, asks whether you did what you committed to, celebrates wins and helps you plan around obstacles. They do not do the work for you; they make sure it stays visible.
How often should I check in with an accountability partner?
Daily for habits such as reading, sobriety or exam study, two or three times a week for fitness and writing, and weekly for business and career goals. Start more often, then reduce once the habit settles.
What is the difference between an accountability partner and a coach?
A coach usually brings expertise and a method. An accountability partner focuses on consistency: making sure you do what you planned. Many partners on Remindeeu have coaching experience, and their bid explains their approach.
Should my accountability partner be a friend?
Friends are free, but many people find friends too kind to push them or too busy to stay consistent. A paid partner has a clear role, a schedule and a reason to show up every time.
Do accountability partners work?
Reporting to someone makes skipping visible, which is why accountability is a common feature of successful weight loss, study and business programs. It works best with a specific goal, a regular schedule and honest check ins.
Can I find a free accountability partner?
Yes, through friends, online communities or study groups, but free arrangements often fade when either person gets busy. Remindeeu partners are paid by the bid you accept, which keeps the schedule reliable.
What is a commitment contract?
A commitment contract is an agreement with yourself, backed by a consequence if you do not follow through, usually money. Economists call it a commitment device. Remindeeu stake goals are commitment contracts with dated milestones called dots.
Do commitment contracts actually work?
Research suggests they can. In a 2008 JAMA study by Volpp and colleagues, people using a deposit contract lost about 14 pounds in 16 weeks versus about 4 pounds in the control group. Effects can fade after stakes end, so set milestones that last as long as the habit needs.
Body doubling and focus
What is body doubling?
Body doubling means doing a task while another person is present, in the room or on video. The other person does not help with the task. Their presence makes it easier to start, stay focused and finish, especially for people with ADHD.
Does body doubling work for ADHD?
Many adults with ADHD report that body doubling helps them start and finish tasks. Formal research is still limited, so treat it as a practical strategy that you test for yourself rather than a proven treatment.
Can body doubling be done online?
Yes. Virtual body doubling over video is now one of the most common forms. Remindeeu schedules the sessions for you, which removes the booking step that many people with ADHD find hardest.
What is virtual coworking?
Virtual coworking means working alongside other people on a live video call. Each person works on their own task, and the shared presence makes it easier to start, stay focused and avoid distractions. It works like a library or office, delivered to your desk.
What is deep work?
Deep work is a term popularized by author Cal Newport for focused, distraction free effort on cognitively demanding tasks. It is where most valuable output comes from, and it needs long uninterrupted blocks.
How long should a deep work session be?
Many people manage 60 to 90 minutes before a break, and experienced practitioners stretch to 2 to 3 hours. Remindeeu offers 1, 2 and 3 hour sessions so you can build up.
Is Focusmate free?
As of November 2026 Focusmate offers up to three free sessions a week. Focusmate Plus gives unlimited sessions for $8 per month billed yearly or $12 per month billed monthly.
What is the best free Focusmate alternative?
For free drop in rooms, StudyStream and Discord study servers are popular. If you want automatic scheduling, language matching and longer sessions, Remindeeu is free to set up and $9 a month for matched sessions.
Virtual Coworking Sessions
How are coworking sessions scheduled?
You set your timezone, country, language and the range of hours you are free. Every evening Mr. Remindeeu finds the window where the most people who share your language overlap, books a Daily video room and notifies everyone.
How long are sessions?
Choose 30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours or 3 hours.
Will I be reminded?
Yes. You get a morning summary of the day and a reminder 15 minutes before each session.
Can I pause coworking?
Yes. Pause for up to 7 days and resume any time.
What do you actually do in a coworking session?
Say in one line what you plan to finish, work quietly with your camera on, then share what you got done at the end. Most people keep their microphone muted between the start and the finish.
Do I need to keep my camera on?
Camera on is the default because being seen is what creates the accountability. You can choose a camera optional style when you set up your coworking goal if you need it.
What equipment do I need?
A computer or phone with a camera and microphone and an up to date browser. Sessions run on Daily video inside Remindeeu, so there is nothing to download or install.
What if nobody overlaps with my hours?
If no one shares your window and language on a given day, you are not booked that day. Widening your availability range or adding a second time range gives you more matches.
Stake Goals
What is the minimum stake?
The minimum stake is $5.
What happens when I miss a dot?
Each default adds your chosen amount, at least $2, to your pending penalty. On the third default the total goes to Mr. Remindeeu, the counter resets to $0 and the cycle starts again.
What is a future self message?
A note you write when you create the goal. Remindeeu emails it to you on your deadline.
Is there a community?
Yes. Everyone with a stake goal can join the Stakers group chat and message each other privately.
Is this like a betting app?
No. You are not betting against anyone or trying to win money. You choose a penalty for yourself in advance, and you avoid it entirely by doing what you promised.
Can I cheat by dotting without doing it?
Technically yes, which is why stakes work best for goals you truly want. Honest dotting is part of the commitment. If you want outside confirmation, add an accountability partner whose calls are dotted by both of you.
What goals work best with stakes?
Goals with clear, checkable milestones: reading plans, workout days, savings deposits, study sessions, quitting a habit and writing targets. Vague goals such as being happier are hard to dot honestly.
Can I pause a stake goal?
Yes, for 1 to 7 days. Your upcoming dots move forward by the same number of days, so pausing never creates defaults.
Where does the penalty money go?
Penalties go to Mr. Remindeeu, the Remindeeu account. Nothing is charged for the first two defaults in a cycle; the accumulated amount is collected on the third, then the counter resets to zero.
Accountability Partners
How does bidding work?
You post your goal with your budget and duration in weeks or months. Partners are notified, then bid with their own price and a message. You compare bids and hire the one you want.
What is dotting?
A shared schedule of check in calls. Your partner dots after calling you, you are notified and dot to confirm. Both of you can edit the schedule and both are notified of changes.
Can we talk inside Remindeeu?
Yes. You get a private chat, and either of you can start a live audio space from it, similar to X Spaces.
How do I become a partner?
Sign up as an accountability partner, complete your bio and start bidding on open goals.
How much does an accountability partner cost?
On Remindeeu you set the budget and partners bid, so the price is up to you. Simple weekly check ins usually cost far less than a coaching package, while daily calls or specialist experience cost more.
What should I say on an accountability call?
Share what you committed to, what you actually did, what got in the way and your plan for the next period. Short and honest works better than long and polished.
Billing
Can I use Remindeeu in the US, Canada, UK and Europe?
Yes. Coworking sessions, stake goals and accountability partners work in every time zone. You enter times in your local time and Remindeeu converts them, including daylight saving changes.
Do you accept cards from my country?
Yes. Payments are processed by Bachs, which accepts cards issued in every country, including the US, Canada, the UK and all of Europe.
Do you charge in pounds, euros or Canadian dollars?
Prices are set in US dollars. If your card uses another currency, your bank converts the amount at its own rate.
How do you protect data for UK and EU users?
Our privacy policy explains your rights under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, including access, correction, export and deletion, as well as rights under Canadian and US privacy laws.
How do I pay?
Payments run through Bachs, which accepts cards from every country as well as bank transfer, mobile money and stablecoins.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Card details are entered on the Bachs checkout and never stored by Remindeeu. Payment confirmations reach us through signed webhooks.
Can I cancel?
Yes, cancel any time from Payments in your dashboard. Your plan runs until the end of the paid period.
